Agen Klik4D  ~   Wayne Rooney's record-breaking campaign continues after the Manchester United star became the highest scoring player for a single team in Premier League history on Sunday. 

The England and United captain netted his 176th goal for the Red Devils as they edged out fierce rivals Liverpool 1-0 at Anfield.

Rooney rattled in a 78th-minute strike to set the new record, and the achievement comes after the Three Lions striker became the national side's all-time top scorer back in September.

Rooney belted home a penalty against Switzerland to nudge ahead of United legend Sir Bobby Charlton on 50 goals.

However, after being informed about his latest milestone, the United skipper admitted he was unaware about it prior to the game.

"What record? I didn't know," he told Sky Sports.

"Obviously it's great to have records but to score the winning goal at Anfield, it has been a long time since that happened (11 years ago). 

"I'll be a bit selfish and enjoy that one today."

Rooney's strike was just his sixth of what has been a meagre campaign by the former Everton youngster's standards, but the 30-year-old has now netted three in his last two games.

The win moves Louis van Gaal's side to within two points of the final Champions League spot, currently occupied by Tottenham, who beat Sunderland 4-1 on Saturday.
