Kampusbet ~ " Manchester City's David Silva says title-race could be decided on the final day yet again "
Agen Klik4D ~ David Silva says Manchester City’s players are bracing themselves for another dramatic last-day-of-the-season title decider.
City have won both of their Premier League crowns - in 2012 and 2014 - on the final day of the campaign, and this season’s title race could go right down to the wire again.
With
just six points separating the top four teams going into this midweek's
full slate of fixtures, no club has been able to break away from the
pack and establish a cushion at the top.
And playmaker Silva,
a member of both of City’s Premier League-winning sides, said he and
his team-mates are prepared for another nail-biting finale to the season
come May 15.
Asked if the title race could go down to the final
day, the Spain international said: “You never know - it’s happened in
the past, hasn’t it?
“I hope it’s us who are successful in winning the title. Obviously it
would be nice if it was settled a little bit before the end of the
season. But if it has to come down to the last game of the season, then
so be it.
“It’s been a very exciting season and, above all, it’s
very tight at the top. It’s going to be a close-run thing right through
until the end of the season.
Each game is tough, it always is, but
somehow this year it’s even tougher, especially away from home.
Bandar Judi Online Klik4D ~ You can lose at any moment when you least expect it. It’s about being
competitive until the end of the season and being in the fight until
the end.
“There are lots and lots of games with a packed fixture
calendar and it’s harder to win games against every level of team in the
league. That’s the key - people have made good signings to improve
their squads and strengthen.”
City boss Manuel Pellegrini echoed
Silva, and said his players are mentally prepared as the pressure builds
in what looks the tightest title race for years.
“I try to work with the players every day to try to put them mentally in the next game,” said Pellegrini, before Wednesday's home game against Everton.
“I think that none of them are thinking about if bad things happen or
doesn’t happen. I think that after so many years in football you must
be absolutely focused in the next game or in the present.
“Things
change so quickly, it’s very difficult to try to think what will
happen. They are all focused, especially the whole squad, not just the
11 players, in what we are doing and now our duty is to try to beat
Everton.”
City will be without skipper Vincent Kompany plus
Eliaquim Mangala, Samir Nasri, Fernandinho and Wilfried Bony for the
Toffees' visit - a dress-rehearsal for the second leg of the sides'
League Cup final in a fortnight.
