Agen TangKasneT ~ Roberto Martinez is closing in on a deal for Ajax defender Ricardo van Rhijn after being snubbed by Sam Byram.
The Everton boss is weighing up a £2million move for the right-back after West Ham hijacked his move for the Leeds star.
The
Toffees had led the chase for out-of-contract Byram, but were pipped to
the post by the Irons for the third time in 12 months.

in – with Byram following Dimitri Payet and Angelo Ogbonna to Upton
Park.
After the full-back was unveiled by West Ham, Martinez claimed, ‘It wasn’t right and it wasn’t a challenge Byram could embrace’.
But
Martinez has also had Holland star Van Rhijn, 24, on his radar for some
time and was torn between the two – which allowed West Ham to jump in
and grab Byram.
