The Parisians are set to lose star man Zlatan Ibrahimovic this summer, with his contract expiring in June and no prospect of a renewal. 

Cristiano Ronaldo has long been the desire of president Nasser El-Khelaifi as his replacement , and the Portuguese superstar has done nothing to dampen talk by repeatedly changing tack in public comments over his future.

But with Real Madrid's transfer ban set to ground any significant departures from the club, the French giants have reportedly already switched their sights. 

Looking to take advantage of Neymar's off-the-pitch troubles with the tax man , Paris Saint-Germain are willing to unload big sums of money to secure the Brazilian.

"I like Neymar a lot, but I think Barcelona will not allow him to leave," Silva told France 3 on Thursday.

"It would perhaps be easier for Barcelona to let go of Messi. Could Messi come to PSG? Perhaps ... I mean, why not? Everything is possible..."

Messi, of course, affirmed his commitment to remain in Barcelona and claimed he would do so for the rest of his career.

 

"I've always said that I don't want to leave Barcelona," Messi said. "It's always the same response. My idea is I want to finish my career at home, and my home is Barca."
