fans to give him a retrospective ban for two clashes with Beram Kayal on
Satuday.
The Clarets midfielder
was involved in two incidents with the Seagulls star, with fans of the
home side claiming that the controversial Barton deliberately stamped on
and elbowed the Israeli.
Responding to angry Brighton fans, Barton tweeted: "Remember folks it's a contact sport. This is not crown green bowls.lots of love JB x"
The game eventually finished 2-2 between the two promotion chasers, and the draw leaves Barton's Burnley three points clear at the top of the second tier.
Michael Keane scored an injury-time equaliser for the visiting Clarets.
However, Burnley, were denied a goal after Keane's effort was hooked clear after appearing to cross the line.

boss Sean Dyche called for goal-line technology to be introduced into
the Championship following its successful use at Premier League level.
He said: “I would be surprised over the next few years, with all
that’s on offer in the Championship, we don’t see technology being
drip-fed down.
“That’s no disrespect to Leagues One and Two,
because I played there, but with the enormity of the Championship and
the finances is generates, I would be surprised if they don’t start
looking at it.
“On days like today, when it was that obvious that the ball was over
the line and it doesn’t get given, you have no choice but to question
the officials.
