Victor Wanyama vows to "fully concentrate" on Southampton despite botched attempt to join Spurs

Kampusbet -   Victor Wanyama vows to "fully concentrate" on Southampton despite botched attempt to join Spurs

Agen MaxbeT -   Victor Wanyama has promised to “fully concentrate” at Southampton after failing to force a move to Tottenham.

The Kenyan midfielder, 24, was told he would not be allowed to leave despite demanding to be reunited with former boss Mauricio Pochettino at White Hart Lane.

Southampton manager Ronald Koeman left Wanyama out of two matchday squads, including last week’s 3-0 win over Norwich, insisting the former Celtic star was not in the right frame of mind to play.

But Wanyama, currently on international duty, has now vowed to knuckle down. He said: “I will fully concentrate on Southampton since I have a contract with them running.

“It didn’t affect me in any way. I’m still a Southampton player and I will give my best when I go back and hopefully, we will win more games.”

Bandar Judi Online MaxbeT -  Spurs are understood to have offered a package including either Andros Townsend or Erik Lamela on loan for him.

But their bid was rejected as Southampton want to end their drain of talent and did not want to strengthen a direct rival.

Instead, the south coast club intend to offer Wanyama a new five-year deal. It remains to be seen whether he will commit himself long term with just two years left on his contract and Spurs set to return for him in January.

But he has promised to focus on his football and put the summer controversy behind him.

He added: “It has been difficult for the team when I was away but things will be alright. These things happen but I’m good to go.”
