Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers reveals he's NOT spoken to FSG about his future

Kampusbet  -    Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers reveals he's NOT spoken to FSG about his future

Agen SbobeT  -    Brendan Rodgers claims he does not need to seek any assurances from Liverpool's owners over his future.

Rodgers is under pressure going into Sunday's 225th Merseyside derby at Goodison Park because of Liverpool's unconvincing start.

Carlo Ancelotti and Jurgen Klopp have been linked with Rodgers' job, but the Irishman says he has not asked for any guarantees about his future from owners FSG.

"It's not something I look for, it's not something I'm worried about," said the Liverpool boss. "I will always work to make the very best of the situation I'm in with the players I have.

"I'm not looking for any reassurances, I'm not seeking any. I will continue to work with the players.
"I love the club, I enjoy being here and the challenge of improving and developing.

"It's a long season and we will make progress as the season goes on."

Liverpool were booed again at the end of last night's disappointing home draw with Swiss minnows Sion in the Europa League and Rodgers says he and his players must take this criticism "on the chin".

Bandar Judi Online SbobeT  -   He said: "The supporters watched the game last night and to see the number of chances we created, but not to win the game, they are disappointed.

"I respect and understand that. They want to win as much as we want to win, so there's probably a wee bit of frustration there when you don't win the game.

That's something you have to take on the chin as a coach and as players."

Rodgers also insisted he was committed to bringing through local talent because Sunday's derby will be the first since 1986 when Liverpool have not fielded a Scouser.

"Maybe this is the first time that we don't have someone starting in the Merseyside derby from Merseyside, but this is a club which is very much looking for that talent," he said.

"Young Jon Flanagan, if he's fit, he's playing in the game. It's just unfortunate that we don't have one.
"But for me the concern is the team and hoping that any of them can be the star. It doesn't have to be someone from Merseyside necessarily."
